FLASHBACK [ClanBase OC Fall 2009]

This is review of the last CB Open Cup.
First of all thanks to all who played and supported our team.
A big thanks to our newcomers who filled up our squad and could compense the lag of players this season.
I hope that we can go for the playoffs next year.
This time we found ourselves and formed a really good team. We got better each match and not only because suma and trek joined us, but also because we did grow together. Suma and Termi, you did a good work in attack. Our defence was looking nice aswell this cup. Nice job, Alpha and XT!
I hope that next season Kamil and Pho find back into the team and then the party can start!

We had a hard first match against 123/4. 2-7 on vault and 0-8 on cyno was a straigt defeat over both maps. We thought that nothing has changed since half a year ago. But the squad was set together completely new. Phex and Alpha tried their best in a new team.

The second match started with our best map, ranel (never lost in cb matches). 1-0 after 10 minutes vs ADL. That was a very well deserved capture after a lot of hard work. With a bit of luck we could have won it. But within 4 minutes ADL managed to turn the game into a 1-2 lead and we were running after them. But it should become an evening of "first times". Pho made his first cap. We played 2-2, made our second OC point (ok that does not fit xD), i played good for the first time, and !! Eki made his first ctf clanbase match! Could have been a nice evening, if there was not a 0-8 on azcanize, our second map. Since it was our pick we can only blame ourselves for it. With a bit of luck we win ranel and then things look different. learned a lot this evening.

Our third match vs IpT, and the first match with treck, brought us the first victory. But we started with a very close match on cyno. After having the lead twice we lost very unlucky by 2-3. Vaultcity finally brought us the first points. We were back 1-2 when suddenly Alpha went to attack and we won 4-2 in a very good game. AreaN broke our necks then with a 3-7, but everyone was happy about the results and hoping for better stands in the last two games....

...and it should become even better this time. It was the right choice to pick gataka against 4F which was prooved by a 5-2 win. Cynosure the third, and this time with lots of success. 5-2 in the second game and a great day for our clan.

Now it was time for the last game. Our opponent should be db, friends of nd and our former member klinton. We have been waiting for that game so long but it was always avoided to play from their side for some reason. We could not only even our points (11/11) but also turn our captures into a positive score (44-40). Sad that this game had to ruin the friendship between some of our members with rubinio, but all the negativity came from their side - not our.
